Every parent wants the very best for their children. If your child struggles, you want to help them - the difficulties lie in knowing how to help. With the internet at our fingertips, the resources are endless but how can we be sure that we are showing our children the 'correct' methods? How do we know what really helps?

LD Learning Support offers Individually Tailored Parent Consultations as well as On-Demand Workshops to help parents as they work to find the best way to support their children and help them to achieve their full potential.

Parent Consultations

When your child is struggling, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. A diagnosis or a school meeting informing you that your child has specific difficulties may be helpful but what comes next? Private one-to-one consultations are an excellent way to seek advice and gain knowledge, understanding and resources so that you are in a position to support your child or children. As a specialist teacher with over a decade of experience working with children with a variety of different needs and as a parent myself, I understand the pressures a parent can feel as you try to find a way that works for your child amongst advice from a million websites and countless books. 

Parent consultation sessions are tailored specifically to answer the questions you have about your child's learning difficulties and to offer practical support and resources to enable you to support their learning going forward. I passionately believe that learning should be fun and relaxed - a far cry from many families' experiences of nightly homework dramas, tears and frustrations. My aim is to help you to create a calm, fun learning atmosphere at home in which your child can flourish. Homework time doesn't have to be a nightmare, I promise!!

Workshops

LD Learning Support and BAYCaB Education Ltd have collaborated to create online workshops to support parents as they try to help and guide their children. Using our combined experience of almost two decades of specialist teaching, we aim to break down the barriers and help you to support your child through their education. Workshops are available on demand and you will receive a private link which will give you permanent access to the session along with a file of usable resources for each workshop.
