With dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties affecting around 15% of the population, it is highly likely that most workplaces will have one or more employees with a specific learning difficulty.
It is vital that workplaces recognise the incredible strengths that these individuals can bring to their industries as well as supporting them in those areas they find more challenging.
Whilst many of the more common SpLD's are becoming more widely understood, knowing how best to support the individuals in your workplace and enable them to reach their potential is often a real challenge. Ensuring that equipment and workplace practices are inclusive and supportive can be an overwhelming task.
Having had personal experience managing and working with adults with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and dyscalculia, I have a wealth of experience in how to support and encourage individuals with specific learning difficulties. I have up to date knowledge of the Workplace Needs Assessment process and gaining financial support for individuals with learning difficulties.
My workplace consultancy service can enable workplaces to gain insight into a wide variety of SpLD's and learn how best to support idividuals with SpLD's within the workplace in the best way for their individual strengths and weaknesses. I will work with you to create a consultancy package that can best support your staff. Sessions can be for the entire staff, management team or a small group.
